Introduction to Preliminary Task

For our preliminary task we have to go in groups of 3 or 4 people and film a short clip of around 1 minute so we can get to know and understand the basics of how to use a camera and tripod. We also get to use a computer after we finish the preliminary task and edit our films so we can understand the basics of editing as well. We will be taking various photos of where our filming is taking place and we will include a variety of shots and edit them to create smooth transitions between each shot. This task is to give us an opportunity to understand how to use the cameras and tripods and how to edit so when our final task comes around we will have the knowledge and be comfortable filming and editing.

AS Thrillers

In our lesson we had to watch four different thrillers that were from another year and anaylse what went well and what could be improved. Sound, editing, mise en scene and camera shots were the things that we were looking to assess.
